Paris, Didier et Cie, 1865. Leather. A collection of journal entries and fragments by the French author Eugenie de Guerin. Eugenie de Guerin was a French author, sister of the poet Maurice de Guerin. This volume, edited by G S Trebutin, proposes a collection of her journal entries from 1835-40, and fragments of her writing, published with the family's agreement. The fifteenth edition, in the original French. Her journals and fragments reflect the talent of the author, with much mysticism which takes on a very religious form.  In a half calf binding over marbled boards and five raised bands. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and minor rubbing to the spine and extremities. A minor sunning to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint spotting to the first and last few leaves, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None. Very Good Indeed .
