A very scarce work, the second edition of  'Rhymes by a Poetaster&apos. All editions are difficult to find. Complete in two volumes.A collection of the poetry of George Hughes, including 'The Flying Burgher', '"The Bottle" of Physic', and a selection of songs, ballads, and miscellaneous verses.The volumes are dedicated to John Wilson Patten, the 1st Baron Winmarleigh, a Conservative politician.Four pages of a list of subscribers to the rear of Volume II. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, with some light marks and discolouration to the boards and spines. Minor bumping to the spines and extremities. Small crack to the tail of the rear joint of Volume I. Front hinge of Volume I is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some odd spots or handling marks. Prior owner's pencil inscription to the half-title. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
