First series, second edition. Illustrated throughout with in-text illustrations. Giorgione Di Castel Chiuso is the pseudonym for Peter Bayley. A English writer and poet, it was after his time in prison for debt that he turned his attentions to literature. He then went on to become the editor of the week periodical Museum. This particular work is a collection of verse that comprises of phases of London life, displaying the poets increase antiquarian and social interest. In half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, rubbing to the corners, joints, and spine. Front joint starting but firm. Internally, front hinge strained but firm. Binding is firm. Pages are bright and clean. Good . Ill.: Not Stated.
