A collection of nine volumes from the fourth series of this academic journal on economics, Annali di Economia, in the original Italian. The present collection is comprised of: Vol. III No. I and II; Vol IV No. I No. II; Vol VI No. I; Vol VIII No. II; Vol X No. II; Vol. XI; Vol. XII; Vol. XIII No. II. The fourth series, published in Milan with Giorgio Mortara starting in 1924, with the management of Gustavo Del Vecchio after the passing of Pantaleoni, who managed the publication from the second series. After Fascist laws regarding the press passed, the journal was forced to compromise and take particular precautions, and some articles reflect the policies of the Fascist regime, although generally it managed to maintained its independence with some contributors publishing articles anonymously. In 1938, however, the publication suffered major interference when racial laws forced the removal of teachers of Jewish origin from schools and universities, which meant that both Mortara and Del Vecchio were removed from the university. Instead of closing the publication of the journal, it would be transferred to Bocconi University, which started a new series in 1939, of which we have volume XIII No. 2, published in 1939 and edited by Carlo Antonio Vianello. With a miscellany of articles on politics, finance, and statistics.
