I of 'The Social Science Review' published by James Wilson. Comprising the continuous run of 1862 from June 14th to December 27th. A very scarce volume in all issues and numbers. Recording the advancement and development of the study of social science in the United Kingdom, with discussions on topics such as  infantile deafness, sanitary sciences, crime, and female education among others. With advertisements found at the end of each issue.  In a half calf binding over marbled boards. Externally sound with some shelf wear and scuffing to the leather both on the front and rear boards, as well as some minor rubbing to the spine and boards. The head and tail of the spine and the extremities are slightly chipped. With some very minimal loss to the tail of the spine. Library stamp to the title page. Internally, firmly bound, slightly cockling the occasional leaf. With some faint minor scattered spotting throughout, particularly to the first and last few leaves although they appear generally clean throughout. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
