Many of these letters were written during the 'Hundred Days', with one of the places from which they were written being a chateau a few miles from the battle of Waterloo. According to the introduction, 'one of the most vivid of all contemporary letters about Waterloo' is contained within this volume. In a signed quarter crushed morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Externally bright, with light fading to back strip. Binder's stamp to recto of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
