A professional big-game hunter and gold prospector, this work was a follow up to 1934's successful 'Claws of Africa, Experiences of a Professional Big-game Hunter&apos. He discussed, among many other sensational experiences 'cannibals, some queer experiences of black magic and witchcraft, and tails of lions, elephants, crocodiles, hippos and other big game&apos.Following the onset of WWII, Courtney returned from Africa and died in Somalia in 1946.With a former owner's inscription to the front free endpaper.
