A first edition of this work, with the scarce slipcase. A short 1931 work from Irish novelist Cathleen Coyle, involved in the early twentieth century socialist movement in Ireland and suffragist movement in London. Coyle published nineteen novels and two autobiographies in her lifetime.In 1926, Coyle moved to Paris where she became an acquaintance of James Joyce and Nora Barnacle, and produced a steady number of novels, which she stated were written to earn money rather than for literary merit. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards, and in the original paper covered slipcase. Externally bright.
