STEPHENS, John L. INCIDENTS OF TRAVEL IN CENTRAL AMERICA, CHIAPAS AND YUCATAN. Illustrated by numerous engravings. Two volumes. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1856-58. later printing, exlibrary, mismatched set. The plates a clean and bright in volume one, though there is a library stamp on the verso of each. The plates in volume two are a little foxed, but relatively clean. The fold-out map in volume one has two short tears. Volume one is bound in original brown cloth and is soiled, worn and chipped at the spine. Volume two is rebound in buckram with a leather label and is quite sturdy with the usual library markings.
