Very scarce work.A pamphlet looking into the Defence of the Realm Act (DORA) that was put in place during World War One. The Act gave the British government extraordinary emergency powers during the War. In Ireland the Act was applied in a harsher manner, used to institute martial law.Though the implication of the Act was felt in Ireland, it was later significant expanded upon after the 1916 Easter Rising. In the original paper wraps. Externally, the outer leaves are a little discoloured with some spots. Faint pencil mark to the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound.
