Original uniform printed cloth. = Important and influential handbook on shells (not long ago an English translation was published). Written by the German zoologist and malacologist Emil Karl Hermann Johannes Thiele (1860-1935). This is the set of the leading Conidae specialist of the second half of the 20th, and early years of the 21st century, Alan Jacob Kohn (1931-2022). Inscribed by Kohn in the top margin of the front free endpapers. Light wear to the bindings, cloth split at rear hinge of second volume, adjacent leaves with fore edge slightly rubbed; otherwise, a near mint set.
