In wrappers, published as "SUPPLEMENT Der 'Mittheilungen' Der Deutschen Gesellschaft Fuer Natur- Und Voelkerkunde Ostasiens." A translation of the first two books of the Nihongi and related texts into German by Florenz, who was a professor at the University of Tokyo at the time. He was also known for his translations of Japanese poetry, which were published as illustrated crepe paper works by Hasegawa. This is the original offprint edition of this interesting and very scarce work. Clean copy in the original paper wrappers, bound into 1/4 cloth spine in blue and blue marbled boards - very durable and handsome. .
