Original, uniform printed wrappers. = A volume from the one of the longest running and most influential ornithological magazines. Especially the earlier years, with fine plates by Keulemans, Smit, Grönvold and others, are very uncommon and sought-after. This volume includes three such plates by Joseph Smit (two anatomical), three by George Edward Lodge, six by Keulemans, and two by Grönvold. Wrappers chipped and frayed at edges, spine covers mostly perished, lacking the front wrapper of the fourth issue; otherwise, a very good complete and unmarked copy.
