Title pages, occasional section (Genus) titles; 50 loose-leaved colour-printed plates with accompanying text leaves (numbered 451-500). Quarter cloth portfolio with printed boards. = Part of a beautifully illustrated series by the Italian mycologist Giacomo Bresadola (1847-1929). Bresadola wrote 25 volumes, published between 1927 and 1933. Original copies, such as this one are rare. The work is finely illustrated and of great taxonomical importance. Bresadola introduced several new taxa. Portfolio flaps flimsy and detached; the boards, plates, and text leaves, however, very good, unmarked. Volbracht 243.
