The first edition stated. A volume comprising stories and plays from The Children's Hour.  Profusely illustrated throughout by Morton Sale, with a coloured frontispiece and various illustrations in text. Interestingly, this copy belonged to the library of Duff Cooper, a British politician, diplomat, military man, and historian. He once served as Secretary of State for War and later as Minister of Information with Winston Churchill, as well as other roles. With the unclipped dustwrapper. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally lovely with only minor shelfwear and minor bumping to head and tail of spine. Duff Cooper's bookplate to the front pastedown. The dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart with only minor shelfwear and slight sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
