In addition, the book contains explanatory comments on the poems by Stevens, in English, which were extracted from letters he had sent Poggioli. Text is in English and Italian, on facing pages. Octavo, mostly unopened. 185[-188] pp. White paper wrappers with author, title and publisher information printed on front wrap and spine; publisher's ticket (author, title, and price) tipped-in at the end. Darkened a bit on the spine, and in a thin strip on either side, probably from the glue used to attach the wrappers; otherwise it is a clean and fresh, near-fine copy. (Edelstein, A21). .
