This book is a mother giving her daughter a hand to go through life, almost as a lifetime companion and a preservation of a family history. Printed by Morris, Fine Art Printer, Bolton. In the publisher's original binding, with titles stamped in gilt to front board and spine. Externally very smart, with minor shelfwear and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Spine has slightly faded. Inscribed by previous owner to front free endpaper "to dear Father from Pollie," dated 1889. Internally, binding is loosening in places. Pages are bright and clean. Good .
