Norman H. Joy (1874-1953) was a British coleopterist best known for this work, although he also wrote 'How to Know British Birds' and 'British Beetles, their Homes and Habits&apos.Complete in two volumes, with uncommon dust wrappers.This is a first edition.Profusely illustrated with diagrams throughout. In a full cloth binding. Dust wrapper has a slightly sunned spine, with a fair amount of loss to the paper, in particular with a chunk of the head of the spine of Volume II missing.
