L. Bright, about whom little is known.Bookplate of the Dorset Collection to the front pastedown, in a labelled file envelope. Presumably a file copy, most likely the publisher's own.Published by High House Press, a hobby press based on the High Street, Shaftesbury. Founded by the schoolmaster James Edwin Master, with help from his wife Beatrice. All the works were hand-set and hand-printed by the couple, who started the venture with virtually no knowledge of printing, all working on hand-made paper. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart, with just a few light marks to the wraps. Labels to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with a couple of odd spots. Envelope with a little age-toning.
