Original printed and embossed full cloth. = This is an excellent, complete monograph of the black flies of the Fauna USSR, volume 64. With descriptions and detailed drawings of many new species of Simuliidae. Written by the Russian dipterologist Ivan Antonovich Rubtsov (1902-1993). In Russian with Latin nomenclature. Tiny crease to the very outer top corner of a few text leaves, otherwise fine, clean. Quite uncommon, especially in this very good, unmarked state. ADDED: three papers by R. W. Crosskey referring to an English translation of this work.
