Uniform original blind stamped navy cloth with gilt title on the spine and front board. = The essential papers, selected by himself, of the great Dutch geneticist and botanist Hugo de Vries (1848-1935), forming a uniform, heavy set. Volumes I-V were published in 1918, vol. VI in 1920, and vol. VII in 1927. Some foxing to the edges, in the last volume also in several text leaf margins, the first four volumes entirely clean and in all an excellent, unmarked set.
