Some illustrations (portraits and facsimiles of letters). Octavo, blue cloth, gilt title at spine. Ex library; heavily marked (and generally soiled) on exterior bindings and endpapers. Bindings are solid except for Vol. 1, whose hinges are cracked. Occasional faint pencil bracketing in margins of some volumes, though they are mostly very clean. An acceptable reading copy of an uncommon set. Ricardo (1772-1823) was the principal founder of the classical school of political economy. .
