The first editions of volumes II and III of this periodical. In the publisher's original pictorial wraps. This periodical gives account of pigsticking and boar hunting in India. With chapters on hunting in Agra, Ambala, Baroda, Calcutta, Delhi, Muttra, Nagpur, Roorkee and many other locations. In addition to Indian boar hunting there are chapters on hunting in Australia and Iraq. Other articles include Muslim and Hindu feasts, awards for hoghunting and first-hand accounts from novice boar hunters. A comprehensive account of this field sport. Volume II title page is misprinted 'Volume I' as called for. Complete with the order form to the rear of volume II and III. Edited by Captain H Nugent Head and Captain J Scott Cockburn, both of the 4th Q O Hussars. With original advertisements to the start and end of the works.  In the publisher's original pictorial wraps. Externally, very smart. Prior owner's inscription to the front wraps of both volumes, which has faded slightly. A few light tide marks to the front wrap of volume II. Internally, firmly bound.
