This book represents the first systematic collection and analysis of the principal legends about Kabir Das, a fifteenth-century poet-saint. It focuses on the ways in which the legends embody and reflect the often changing social and religious needs of those who created and listened to them. Particular attention is paid to the earliest known collection of legends, Ananta-das's Kabir Parachai. This book makes available for the first time an English translation of this text, with detailed notes on its variant readings, as well as a corrected Hindi edition based on a comparison of over a dozen manuscripts. very good condition

When the shipment is returned because of a flawed description, the shipping costs are to be paid by the seller. Returned books must arrive in the same condition as in which they was sent. Return shipments are at the sender's risk.

Prijzen zijn netto, in euro. Porto wordt tegen kostprijs doorberekend. Op verzoek sturen we u graag een scan van het boek. Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor risico van de verkoper. Verkoper behoudt zich het recht voor de goederen te verzekeren en/of aangetekend te verzenden. De kosten daarvan worden doorberekend aan de koper.
Elke aankoop kan binnen 7 dagen na ontvangst, zonder opgaaf van reden, aan verkoper retour gezonden worden (een voorafgaande kennisgeving per e-mail wordt op prijs gesteld), waarna restitutie van het aankoopbedrag (exclusief de verzendkosten) volgt. Is de retourzending een gevolg van een onvolledige beschrijving dan wordt het aankoopbedrag inclusief verzendkosten + retourporto gerestitueerd.
