Publisher's red buckram with gilt title on the spine and front board. Errate leaf, double title page (folded) and invitation card loosely added. = The author's thesis - based on 18 months of research - which is usually found in wrappers. The author, Hendrik Albert Stheeman (1901-1982) later became construction manager at the Institute of Technology Twente (later: Twente University) in Enschede, the Netherlands. Dedication copy, with on the front free endpaper recto the author's signed dedication to the Dutch geologist Molengraaff. The small stamp of the latter in the top margin of the title page and his private library's label on the spine foot. Prof. Dr. G. A. F. Molengraaff (1860-1942) published on South African, West Indian and Indonesian geology. A very good and unique copy.
