Paris, Roret, 1834. Large 4to (26.1 x 21.2 cm). Title page, 167 pp. [numbered (335)-501], six engraved plates [numbered 16-21]. 20th century half cloth over blue boards with printed label on the spine. Edges speckled red. = A rare and well-illustrated paper on the flora of the island of Timor in the Malayan Archipelago (currently partly Indonesian, partly a separate state). It includes numerous plants of which a considerable part described as new. The illustrations are by the author, Joseph Decaisne (1807-1882). Published in the third volume of the Nouvelles Annales of the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris. Pritzel records the same work as "Herbarii Timorensis", the titel used in a separate titel edition published a year later, also by Roret. Cancelled stamp on title, occasional mild foxing, a bit more so to a few plates, otherwise a good, clean copy. Pritzel, 2087. Stafleu and Cowan, 1335.
