Very Good, colors fresh. Edme-Jean Pigal was a French painter and lithographer. He entered the studio of Baron Gros in the 1820s and showed at the Salon from 1827 - 1870. His caricatures were published occasionally in ‘La Silhouette’, ‘La Caricature’ and ‘Le Charivari’ and satirize social types and lower and middle classes. .
