The first edition, first impression of this work. Signed by the author to the title page, dated 6/3/03. With the original uncorrected proof. Proof is in very good indeed condition. In the original unclipped dustwrapper, in the original scarce wraparound. Wraparound is in a fine condition. 'The Sixth Lamentation' is set at Larkwood Priory in England, where a suspected Nazi war criminal asks Father Anselm for advice. Written by William Brodrick, a British novelist, who is particularly best known for this novel, which was his debut. In the original publishers cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper and the original scrace wraparound, proof is in the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, fine. Dustwrapper is fine. Wraparound is fine. Proof with a small amount of edgewear, and a small crease to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just a touch of age-toning to the edges, as is usual, and clean. Proof copy has a couple of very light spots to the first and last few pages. Proof is in near fine condition.
