LINNEAN SOCIETY - Transactions of the Society Instituted at London

LINNEAN SOCIETY. TRANSACTIONS OF THE SOCIETY, INSTITUTED AT LONDON, FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF ARTS, MANUFACTURES, AND COMMERCE; WITH THE PREMIUMS OFFERED IN THE YEAR 1805. Volume XXIII. London: Linnean Society, 1805. 15 engraved plates. Octavo. xxiv,512,[2] pp. Contemporary binding of three-quarter black morocco with marbled boards, and blue endpapers, by Sizer. Ex-library the Linnean Society; the society's name is stamped in ink on title-page and in gilt at the base of spine. The binding shows general wear and soiling but is sound. This copy is offered as is because of dampstaining along the top edge of the volume. It is most visible in the first few leaves, quickly diminishing, and at the top-edge of the plates; however, the text is quite readable. .
