Volumes I and II only of this three volume set. Written by Pierre-Nicholas Chantreau, an 18th century French historian, journalist, grammarian and lexicographer. This work follows his journey between 1788 and 1789. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with occasional marks to the boards and extremities. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright. Tidemark to the top outer corner throughout volume I, not affecting the readability of the text. The pages are cockled.
