The fine topographical plates depict locations from the novel: Peak Castle Derbyshire (Richardson after Leitch), Haddon Hall (Horsburgh after Leitch), Peel Castle Isle of Man (Miller after Leitch), Glen Mary Isle of Man (Forrest after Leitch), Liverpool 1664 (Finden after Austin) and The Tower [of London] 1670 (Finden after Roberts).
