Spine with four raised bands and gilt title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. = An enormous standard work on the false click beetles, Eucnemidae, by Vicomte (Viscount) Victor Henry Achard de Bonvouloir (1839-1914). Very well illustrated with fine engravings and with the inclusion of numerous new species. It was published as a supplement to the Annales de Société Entomologique de France. Provenance: with on the front pastedown the small library label of the French entomologist and palaeontologist Charles [Jules Edmée] Brongniart (1859-1899), and his name written on the front free endpaper, half title, and title page. Small repair to spine foot. A very good copy, with all the plates clean, and in a contemporary binding. Horn-Schenkling II(1) p. 324.
