Schevill, James - Tls from James Schevill to Norman Moser

Providence, RI: Brown University, 1980. TLS on plain typing paper from poet, playwright, and professor James Schevill to poet, editor, and graphic artist Norman Moser, mentioning a letter of recommendation (not present) and giving Moser advice on his resume and self-presentation. One handwritten parenthesis. Letter signed in ink "Jim." Mailing envelope present, with red-ink notations presumably by Moser. Schevill published 10 books of poetry and wrote 30 plays and the libretto for the opera Emperor Norton, as well as essays and a novel. He taught at San Francisco State University and Brown University. Letter is slightly faded and shows some handling wear, but is Very Good. Original mailing envelope is also Very Good. .
