Master K (16th century) - [Antique prints, woodcuts] Five Bible illustrations/Vijf bijbelillustraties, published 16th century.

Five woodcut plates with biblical scenes from the Old Testament (oude testament).Two plates are signed with the monogram K..The vignettes are pasted down on thick paper which makes it impossible to identify the source of the images. If placed against the light, some show letterpress in Gothic type, in the German language. It is therefore plausible that the vignettes come from a yet to be identified edition of a Bible. Woodcut on paper, pasted down on light cardboard; total: ca. 60 x 78 mm each; tiny brown stain on one plate otherwise in very good condition. Not in Nagler.
