With many illustrations (some in colours). 160 pp.Willem Bosman (1672 - ?), employee of the Dutch West India Company (WIC) and chief Dutch factor at the castle of Elmina, wrote the first authoritative and detailed account of the West Coast of Africa, during a 14 years' residence there. It is the chief source for the knowledge of the Dutch slave-trade during the second half of the 17th century.
