On one plate, four studies of elderly men heads, a hand holding a ball, likely a fruit, and a putto holding a torch over his shoulder.Signed and dated on the bottom right: S.M.V.W.: 1801-10-24.The head of the man with hat is repeated in other two plates by the artist.On the other sheet, the counter-impression, resulting mirrored and slightly less sharp than the actual etching.[NL] Vier studies van hoofden van oudere mannen, een hand die een bal vasthoudt, waarschijnlijk een vrucht, en een putto die een fakkel over zijn schouder houdt, op een plaat. Etching on paper with margins, plate mark: 218 x 154 mm, total: 243 x 197 mm; counter-impression, total: 304 x 199 mm, despite some dirt on the most external margins, in outstanding condition.
