J.A.V.L.(?) - Drawing/tekening: Beggar (Bedelaar), published 1777.

A crippled man standing, begging for money with his hat in the right hand. Mounted on a cardboard mat on which was drawn a light frame. Under the drawing the monogram and the date: JAVL 1777; furthermore, a small number, 9, is drawn in pencil also below the portrait. As 65264 in our collection, possibly these two drawings came from a set. Drawing on paper, black chalk; total: 288 x 229 mm (mat); drawing in great condition, the mat heavily damaged on the top right (burned) and stained; nevertheless, the drawing is in great condition.
