Born in Iowa, he lived for a number of years in New York City, then found Old Lyme. Was in charge of a camouflage unit during WW1. Eventually settled in Westmoreland, PA, where he lived while teaching at Carnegie. Lovely Impressionist works. With a lengthy illustrated essay by Helen K. Fusscas.
