This copy is handsomely bound in Bickers and Son full calf binding. Uncommon. In a handsome full calf Bickers and Son binding, with the binders stamp to the reverse of the front endpaper. With a Latin ink inscription the front blank from by the author, William Haig Brown. William Haig Brown was a cleric, who served as the headmaster of Charterhouse School. This extensive collection of ancient poetry, with this volume including the English, Latin and Greek translations. In a full Bickers and Sons calf binding with gilt detailing to the spine and front board. Externally generally smart, with light rubbing to the spine, joints and extremities. Small crack to the head of the rear joint. Binders stamp to the reverse front endpaper, and a ink inscription to the front blank. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Good .
