Beautiful portrait of Anne, Princess Royal and Princess of Orange (1709-1759). Portrayed in an oval with allegorical symbolism beneath a mirror with a snake, a shield with the royal family coat of arms and other elements. Inscribed on the oval frame: 'ANNA, Kroonprincesse van Grootbritannje...' signed and address at the bottom: H. Pothoven delin. / J. Houbraken sculps. 1750 // J=bs Haffman en P. Meyer Excud.'. In passe-partout. On verso collector's marks not in Lugt. Etching and engraving on paper, with broad margins; plate mark: 367 x 234 mm, total: 518 x 330 mm, in passe-partout. Some light smudges along the most external margins, and staining on the top external margin, not affecting the plate; Muller 328.
