Full calf gilt, VG. 167pp, engraved title & frontis & with 4 engraved titles to each canto, a small pretty binding with 6 compartments, raised bands & blind tooled decoration, gilt borders & tooling to the boards, gilt edges. Rear board affected by a small patch of browning, possibly from a hot object. A nice copy. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ Falconer's most famous poem & one which his maritime experiences - including being shipwrecked - served him well. William Falconer [ 1732 - 1769 ].
