This copy features the following volumes: The Farmer's Boy A Rural Poem (1815), Thirteenth Edition; Wild Flowers (1816); Rural Tales, Ballads and Songs (1815), Eighth Edition. These works are bound in a attractive full calf binding, with a morocco spine label. Each of these works were written by Robert Bloomfield. Born to an impoverished family and so was self-educated. It was he poem 'The Farmer's Boy' that established his name as a writer, with this poem featured in this volume. A nice example of this collection of poetical works from the early 19th century. With the previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown, it reads 'Mr. J. Hunt. 29 Cloudesley Street, Islington&apos. In a full calf binding. Externally generally smart with a amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Light surface cracks to the spine. Horizontal indented lines to the rear board. Crack to the tail of the front hinge, and the previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound, with light straining to the title page of 'Farmer's Boy&apos. Pages are lightly age toned and lightly cockled throughout. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
