Lieutenant-Colonel William Price Drury was a Royal Marine Light Infantry officer who is best known for his dramatic and prose works on naval themes. His play 'The Flag Lieutenant' was even filmed three times, twice as a silent film in 1919 and 1926, and then again with sound in 1932.
