With an introduction by noted author KIngsley Amis. The work charts the history of snuff, including notable individuals who took it. The work takes a particular focus upon the snuff shop Fribourgh and Treyer. The author, John Arlott, was an English journalist, author and cricket commentator. In blue cloth boards with gilt detail. Externally in excellent condition with some shelfwear to the extremities and minor bumping to the extremities of the front board. Slight loss to the cloth at the head of the spine.
