Remainder of booklet devoted to "The Gospel According to Simon the Zealot, A Christmas Sermon," which emphasizes the role of Christ in the struggle for social justice. 6-3/8 x 9 inches (folded dimensions). Paper has yellowed; chipping at edges; sunning on back panel. Fragile but readable, this undated Christmas greeting perhaps dates to the 1920s, when Lipton was active as a journalist in Chicago. Today he is best known for his book about the Beatniks, The Holy Barbarians, and for his experiments with jazz and poetry. .
