Kingsley Amis was an English novelist, poet, critic and teacher. Amis's first novel Lucky Jim was an immediate success and marked the beginning of a long career in writing. He wrote more than 40 books, including 20 novels and many volumes of poetry. In 2008, The Times ranked Amis 13th on their list of the top fifty greatest British writers since 1945. Difficulties With Girls is Amis's nineteenth novel and is the sequel to Take a Girl Like You, which was published thirty years earlier. In a blue cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally in excellent condition with some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition, with some shelfwear to the extremities including some bumping to the head and tail of the spine.Small closed tear to rear flyleaf. Internally firmly bound.
