Cloth, folded map comprising 72 panels folded so that 12 are viewable at one time giving a N to S view of England & wales, with coloured arrows showing the correct conjoined sheets. Scale of 8 miles to an inch. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ Curiously mounted ( the Stanford Bridges Patent Mount ) road map of England & Wales, circa mid 1920s as the map has the roads following the classification system which was introduced in 1922. Wen opened the user of the map could view 4 panels of the map at a time & then fold upwards to reveal the next 4 panels of the map - alternatively, the user could open out the 3 parallel sections to view 12 at a time.
