Dutch language dissertation, with an english summary, being an inversigation about one of the then few primitive level marron tribes left in innermost jungle of the dutch territory of Surinam (Dutch Guyanas). This investigation researches growth and development of children in this specific area bordering the Tapanahony river. The scope of research is medical aspects of growth in a primitive society, environmental influences, kinship relations, blood tests and sampling, pregnancy and birth, hygiene, which is preceded by previous research and archival material. Still of great cultural-anthropological interest. Very good copy.
