Embossed green cloth with gilt title on the spine and gilt vignette on the front board. A well-illustrated work - deals much with early cartography (notably with Africa and the Atlantic coasts). With a handwritten, signed and dated dedication by the author. Small stamp on title page, otherwise a fine, clean copy.
