Printed dust jackets (to three volumes). = This very large publication offers the first complete guide to the ferns, fern related, and seed-bearing plants of Washington, northern Oregon, the western part of Montana an southern British Columbia (Canada). Published in reversed chronology: Volume 1 (1969) deals with cryptogams, gymnosperms, and monocotyledons, volume 2 (1964) with Salicaceae to Saifragaceae, volume 3 (1961) with Saxifragacae to Ericaceae, volume 4 (1959) Ericaceae through Campanulaceae, and volume 5 (1955) with Compositae. Very well-illustrated. Volumes 3-5 in their original dust jackets, which are a bit chipped at the edges. The oother two with boards a bit soiled; cancelled library stamps on titles or half titles, otherwise a very good, complete set. Not often seen outside North America.
